A team of twenty volunteers, led by Dr. Bruce Schnall, provided medical care to children with strabismus and ptosis. The team screened over three hundred children and performed surgery on over a hundred patients at the Leon Becerra Hospital in Guayaquil. Healing the Children New Jersey also donated fifty-six eyeglasses to children in need of bifocals. “Our mission was a success! I look forward to returning and fulfilling the promises we made to correct the vision of more children on our next eye mission to Leon Becerra,” said Dr. Schnall.
