Healing the Children® New Jersey is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 1981 with the vision to create a world where every child has access to quality medical care.  Since 1981, HTCNJ has provided care to 33,000 children, helping nearly 1,000 children each year.  Headquartered in Hawthorn, NJ – HTCNJ is a highly efficient, allocating over 90% of the all funds raised directly for programs and services.

HTCNJ is led by an all volunteer Board of Trustees along with a small staff of administrators whose charge is to full the mission:

To provide access to medical care and related services for children in need in New Jersey and worldwide.

 

HTCNJ focuses on four main phases of service:

 

Domestic Aid: Providing medication, equipment, care, therapy, eyeglasses, hearing aids, orthotics to NJ children in need.

International Inbound: Hosting international children in NJ so they may receive medical treatment not available to them in their native countries.

Medical Teams Abroad: Dispatching volunteer medical teams overseas to provide pro-bono care to children in need in the specialties of plastic surgery, orthopedics, dentistry, urology, ophthalmology, general pediatric surgery, and ear/nose/throat.

International Aid: Sending over-the-counter health products, medical supplies and medications to developing countries so they may be distributed to children in need; also donating surgical equipment to international medical groups/hospitals.
